Surprise Surprise… the kiwi’s are in Louis Vuitton Cup Final
Surprising nobody, the kiwi’s have beaten the spanish (who did mighty well to get this far and take a couple of races off the kiwi’s).
I haven’t been following the AC quite as closely as others, using Linux also rules out makes it more difficult viewing the AC via the web methods, I’m sure with a bit of messing about most of the stuff could be made to work, though honestly the excitement of watching these big, heavy, slow and butt ugly (some of them look like shipping containers with pointy ends and slightly rounded bottom corners) boats following each other around doesn’t really justify spending hours figuring out how I can watch it. I do check in on their results page from time to time.
And yesterday (actually it might have been the day before) while having a look around at some possible sports arbitrage opportunities I found a beauty, in of all places, SAILING. Centrebet and Betfair had a fair bit of mispricing (was almost 13% return) on the kiwi’s and spanish LV Cup semi finals. There is too much ID checking etc. required so I didn’t bother putting anything on.
Update: No sooner did I write this post than Scott posted a link to good instructions, apparently some people have got TVAnts working by using wine, I had a quite try and it crashed, though I’m sure it’s just that I need to set it up correctly. I’ve installed it and a program called HiDownloader which apparently can be used to record the stream for later viewing on Milton’s computer. Maybe I’m not so averse to watching these slow heavy boats… just a lazy bugger ![]()
