Trading Status
It’s been a while so I thought I might post my current trading status.
Simply put, I’m down. I was a LONG way infront though was quite heavily invested (sucks when you can’t stick to your rules heh) and lost it all and more on a pullback above par. I’ve got a short position on USD/CAD which took a while though it is up a bit for me. I didn’t do anything with the EURO, AUD or GBP during the recent gains which is a bummer though I’ve never had much success with these currencies.
I’m slowly learning that I need to run with big stop losses on my newer longer term trading style, if only I could find my position calculator (think I deleted it accidentally during a system upgrade!) I could make this more scientific than just setting it at ~100pips or so.
Hopefully the USD/CAD keeps dropping, I’ve read a bit of commentary which has been saying that it’s close to the bottom. I hope not as it’s my favourite.
I also created a super quick (ran out of time) entry to the Automated Trading Championships which start on Monday. Will be interesting to see how it does. It trades breakouts of the USD/CAD on a longer term. If the USD/CAD keeps falling it should do OK, though if it flattens then I doubt it’ll even make a trade.
