Standing still while the world rushes past…
In a previous life (’98-2001ish) I used to be a good flash developer and I pretty much did nothing but flash development, though after a while I learnt to really hate flash. Many reasons for it, though one of the major ones was how inefficient it was. Since I started to give it up I’ve focused a lot on backend coding which has been very enjoyable. I haven’t really touched flash much beyond the occasional freelance job that some ex coworker has needed me to do.
I’ve started looking at it again and have to say that I wish I had kept up with it a little bit more than I have, it’s actually matured into a half decent platform for developing on the client side.
Some things are proving rather frustrating (Adobe Documentation is, how shall I put it… pretty crap), though on the whole I’m quite happy to be back doing flash development
